About Glory Gang
My husband Bob and I have worked in the Awana program for over 25 years. The Awana program is a wonderful program that assists kids in their quest for Christian discipleship. We also serve in many other areas in and out of our local church. We teach kids the biblical truths while memorizing scripture, all while still having a fun time in church. We eventually became pastors working under two different ministries.
My heart, from the time I received Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior, has been set on reaching the lost. I have always been involved in outreaches. After teaching for many years in both Sunday school and also children’s church, the Lord laid it upon my heart to write a year’s curriculum for those who were 6-12 years of age. All based on the Word of God.
As I wrote these, I realized that the milk of the word was definitely there… but also, so was the meat of the word. The episodes were not only geared towards ages 6-12, but from even much younger and then to our amazement adults of all ages enjoyed the Glory Gang even with these funny puppets being involved. These episodes were written to help build upon many of the principles found in the Word of God.
After I had written 53 episodes, I then felt led to add actual people for lessons and skits alongside the voices for the puppets with the intent to film them and put them on DVD’s… again, to win souls for Christ. Teamed with an outstanding editing team, these DVD’s now exist with the idea to introduce people to Christ and to promote spiritual growth standing on solid biblical texts.
Our family and friends have helped me create what we call the “Glory Gang”. Without them, there would be no episodes or DVDs. I owe all of them who have helped me, my greatest love and appreciation. Our daughters, Suzy and Laura, and our daughter-in-law Robin; along with our sons, Darren and Dean. They are all vital parts of this ministry… playing various parts, voices of puppets, skits, and helping in any areas that they can.
I have poured my heart into this work. Salvation and growth for others are my main goals. I have written many other episodes at this time, still to be filmed. My hope is that many people will volunteer to be spiritual leaders and want to form groups to show these DVDs. The supplemental lessons will enhance your group’s study experience.
